About Our Project
Gunslinger's Shadow is a blog, podcast, and Youtube channel dedicated to investigating the truth about wild west outlaw history. The project spans events from the mid 1800's to the early 1900's and focuses on the identity of our ancestor, William (Bill) Henry Long and his relationship with the McCarty Brothers, Butch Cassidy, the Sundance Kid, the Wild Bunch, and other famous figures from wild west outlaw history. What we've found is that in this case, not even Hollywood's take on these stories is as fantastic as what actually happened!
