If you are an outlaw during the 1890s in the American West, your first priority is know how to shoot fast and shoot straight. "If you're not a good shot," Bill Long said, "you're a dead shot." He also said that the amount of bullets he fired over the course of his life could fill up an entire cabin. He was a gunslinger, a cowboy, and an outlaw. His preferred weapon of choice, like many of the other outlaws, was a 44-40 Colt revolver which he used for target practice every day.
Bill also had a very strange way of shooting. He would line up his index finger with the barrel of the gun and use his middle finger to pull the trigger. He said this was the fastest way to aim and shoot without kidding killed in the process.
